I led the redesign of İşCep’s Cards dashboard — transforming a cluttered system into a modular, user-driven experience across debit, credit, prepaid, and digital cards. As part of a full app redesign, this work aimed to unify scattered card management flows into a single, scalable experience used daily by millions.

New Product

Old Product

Horizontally scrollable cards were used to display different currencies under the same physical card.
This caused users to perceive each currency as a separate card, leading to confusion and unnecessary cognitive load when checking balances or managing cards.

The redesigned experience uses tabs to organize all card types in one place. Users can easily switch between credit, debit, and digital cards, and select a specific card from a dropdown — all within a single summary page

Main Objective

Reduce user confusion caused by fragmented card views

Lower cognitive load when managing multiple card types and currencies

Unify all cards into a single, clear structure

Enable faster and more intuitive card management

Outcome

Dashboard-first navigation adopted
Users primarily accessed card features directly from the Cards dashboard instead of the menu.

14.5%
Users accessed Card Details via the dashboard, compared to 9.2% through menu navigation.

85.3%
High adoption of Rewards from both dashboard and menu, validating visibility and placement.

Reduced navigation friction
Users completed card-related tasks with fewer steps and less reliance on deep menu paths.

Improved clarity in card management
Behavioral data confirmed users could more easily understand and switch between credit, debit, and digital cards.

Approach

  • Collected customer feedback and identified key bottlenecks in the existing card experience

  • Analyzed user needs alongside comparable solutions in the market to inform the redesign direction

  • Iterated on the design to better align with user expectations and industry patterns

  • Conducted moderated usability testing with 12 users and unmoderated testing with 86 users to validate the new structure and interactions

  • Refined the design based on test findings, focusing on clarity in debt payment visibility and card selection via drop-downs

Access all cards through single dashboard

Users can navigate between different card types directly from the dashboard, while the menu is intentionally retained to support existing user habits and cognitive expectations.

Unified Currency Access via Dashboard and Card Details

Instead of showing separate cards for each currency, the new design consolidates all currencies into a single card summary on the dashboard. Users can access and switch between currencies either directly from the dashboard or through tab-based navigation in the card detail view, making card management clearer and more intuitive.

Multiple cards can be paid at the same time

This feature allows users to pay the debt of multiple cards at the same time, eliminating the need to complete separate payment flows for each card.

Learnings

Designing across multiple card business units requires establishing a shared mental model early to keep teams aligned.

Working with five different business units highlighted the importance of clear principles to guide decisions when priorities conflicted.

Alignment doesn’t come from consensus alone — it comes from making trade-offs visible and grounding decisions in user evidence.

Clear ownership and documentation helped maintain consistency across interconnected card experiences.
